Community Invited to Celebrate Santa’s Arrival Saturday at Green Tree Mall
(November 1, 2016) CLARKSVILLE, IN – Bring the kids to help welcome Santa as he arrives at his seasonal home at Green Tree Mall on Saturday, November 5th, at 10am. Meet at the mall’s main entrance and be on the lookout as he arrives with sirens blaring and lights flashing aboard a hook & ladder truck courtesy of the Clarksville Fire Department. Next get ready to join two ‘living balloon’ elves, stilt walkers, jugglers and special guests and parade Santa through the mall to Center Court. Everyone is welcome!
After the parade plenty of free family fun begins. Kids will enjoy make-it-and-take it crafts, face painting, and balloon twisting. The Clarksville Fire Department will provide safety information, and the Jefferson Township Public Library and the YMCA of Greater Louisville will host hands-on activities offer membership along with information. Enjoy the talents of stilt walkers and jugglers from Louisville Turners Circus. Coinciding with Santa’s arrival is the start of a Coat Drive to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Kentuckiana. New and gently worn outerwear will accepted November 5th through the 27th.
“We encourage everyone to come out and give Santa a big Clarksville welcome,” says Chris Cullen, Green Tree Mall’s general manager. “And while we celebrate the season, we invite everyone to donate to the coat drive to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Kentuckiana. There’s no better time to help the less fortunate in our community.”
In addition to the free parade and family fun, many of the mall’s retailers will be hosting in-store specials and promotions. Santa’s arrival event is free and open to the public; reservations are not needed. For more information, please visit GreenTreeMall.com or call 812.283.0741.
